Beam Living recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of information relating to identified or identifiable individuals ("Personal Information"). This Privacy Policy describes what Personal Information we collect from and about those ("you" or "your") who use or inquire about our products and services, including the Sites; how we gather, maintain, use and share that Personal Information; and how you can correct, change and limit our use of it. In some instances, and in particular, if you are asked to submit registration details through the Sites, you may be requested to agree to additional terms regarding our use of your Personal Information, and those additional terms will apply in that context. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES BEAM LIVING COLLECT?
We collect Personal Information from our Sites in order to provide you with information on the Beam Living products and services you have expressed an interest in, to provide you with information on other Beam Living products and services provided by us, our affiliates or our promotion partners, which we believe will be of interest to you, and to better understand how we can help our residents, prospective residents and employees.
The type of Personal Information we collect will depend upon what we will need in order to provide you with the particular product or service you are interested in. In the case of prospective residents and applicants for employment, the information requested on our tour scheduling and contact forms includes some or all of the following Personal Information: name, email address, and telephone number.
Those interested in becoming residents at our properties may be asked to include some of the following further information: the kind of service you are requesting, the apartment size you are looking for, where you want to live, your rent budget, the number of individuals in your household and their ages, and whether or not you have pets.
If you apply for employment at Beam Living, we will request Personal Information, including your name, email address, postal address, phone numbers, age, and relationships with employees at the company. We also may obtain Personal Information regarding job applicants through credit checks, background checks and employment verification that we may perform, subject to applicable law. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before undertaking these checks. We will only use this information for purposes of evaluating your job application and, if you are hired, for purposes of human resources administration. When you apply for a job with us, we will invite you to self-identify by ethnicity or race. This information is only collected for meeting government reporting requirements and is disclosed only in aggregate form. The provision of this information by candidates is voluntary. Once a candidate accepts a position, the candidate may be asked to provide further Personal Information.
Our residential communities have their own separate websites, and we use separate websites for the processing of rental applications and agreements and to assist our residents with other tasks which are required or helpful to them, such as paying rent online. You will move away from this Site when engaging in those activities and those sites will have their own privacy policies. Therefore, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of those other websites before using them.
USAGE TRACKING: USE OF IP ADDRESSES
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer or mobile device whenever you are using the Internet. Web servers, the main computers that serve up web pages, automatically identify your computer or mobile device by its IP address. As permitted under applicable law, Beam Living collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, gathering and analyzing aggregated information, creating a better experience for users and auditing the use of our Sites.
We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that your session will be logged, but you remain anonymous to us. We will seek to link your IP address when we feel it is necessary to protect our Sites and other users from harm and to prevent fraud, misuse of our Sites, or criminal misconduct. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE SHARE OR DISCLOSE?
As a general rule, Beam Living will not disclose Personal Information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe, in good faith, that the law requires our disclosure. We may also disclose Personal Information for business operations as described below.
We do not commercialize or share your Personal Information with third parties, unless:
- Such information is shared and/or commercialized following receipt of a specific request and/or permission from users;

Beam Living may be liable to you for any transfer of your Personal Information by Beam Living in violation of applicable laws.
BUSINESS TRANSITIONS
In the event that Beam Living goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling all or part of its assets, users' Personal Information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. By using our Sites and providing your Personal Information, you consent to this transfer, provided use of the Personal Information will remain in accordance with the Privacy Policy in place at the time of the transfer.
THIRD-PARTY SITE LINKS
You should be aware that when you are on one of our Sites, you could be directed to other third party sites that are beyond our control. There are links to other sites from Beam Living, which take you outside our service. For example, if you "click" on a banner, an advertisement or a search result, the "click" may take you off the Beam Living Site. These other sites may include sites of other advertisers, sponsors and partners that may use their logo with ours as part of a co-branding agreement. These other sites may send their own cookies to visitors to collect data or solicit information. Beam Living does not control these sites and therefore is not responsible for their content. The inclusion of hyperlinks to any other sites by Beam Living does not imply any endorsement of the material on such sites, nor any association with their operators.
Beam Living policies do not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, which is beyond our control. Remember that whenever you give out information online, that information may be collected and used by people you do not know.
SECURING INFORMATION
Beam Living takes reasonable technical and organizational measures in accordance with applicable laws to safeguard users' Personal Information. While Beam Living strives to protect your Personal information and therein your privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any Personal Information you disclose online and you therefore disclose such Personal Information at your own risk.
We limit access to Personal Information to employees whom we believe reasonably need to receive such information to provide our services or in order to do their jobs, and we take reasonable precautions to protect the security of users' Personal Information. We also work very hard to ensure that our employees are aware of the sensitivity of the data submitted to us and that they handle it with care, being careful not to allow any improper access by third parties. Please note that if you are a resident of a Beam Living community and you use this Site and your community website, you will need to opt-out of your community website separately. YOUR RIGHTS.
Residents of the European Union have certain rights, as provided by applicable law, which include the rights to: (i) request confirmation of whether we store, use or share any of your Personal Information; (ii) obtain access to or a copy of your Personal Information; (iii) receive an electronic copy of Personal Information that you have provided to us, or ask us to send that information to another company (the “right of data portability”); (iv) restrict our uses of your Personal Information or object to those uses; (v) seek correction of inaccurate, untrue or incomplete Personal Information; or (vi) request erasure of Personal Information held about you by us, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law.

AUTOMATED PROCESSING

As noted above, if you apply for a job using one of our Sites, you will have the opportunity to voluntarily self-identify by race or ethnicity. We use this information to comply certain governmental record keeping and reporting requirements for the administration of civil rights laws and regulations. When reported, this data will not identify any specific individual.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
We do not collect or maintain information at our Sites from those we know are under 13, and we do not permit children under 13 years of age to become registered users of our Sites.
